UPDATED – Important Service Adjustment July 28-31
Please be advised that another temporary service adjustment will be in effect from Friday, July 28, to Monday, July 31, with significant bus substitutions.
Details include the following:
Friday, July 28
- Amtrak 148 and 136 will run as bus substitutions
- All other trains will run as scheduled
Saturday, July 29, and Sunday, July 30
- CTrail: There will be train service between New Haven and Hartford, but there will be bus service between Hartford and Springfield
- Amtrak: There will be local and express bus services from New Haven to Springfield
Monday, July 31
- Amtrak 141 and 125 will run as bus substitutions
- All other trains will run as scheduled
Additional information:
- Local buses will stop at every station along the Hartford Line
- Express buses will only stop at New Haven Union Station, State Street, Hartford Union Station, and Springfield Union Station
- Passengers will still need a train ticket to board a substitute bus
- To guarantee a seat on Amtrak, please purchase your tickets in advance through the Amtrak reservation system
- Tickets can be purchased through the Amtrak app or online at Amtrak.com
- Google and Apple Maps will not show the correct information this weekend; please use the trip planner on the Hartford Line website to plan your travels accordingly
These service adjustments are needed to accommodate Amtrak’s ongoing maintenance and safety work on the Connecticut River Bridge north of Hartford and the CT Department of Transportation’s work at the site of the new Windsor Locks station.
