Hartford Line Bus Substitution August 22 – 25
An upcoming Amtrak construction project will affect CTrail Hartford Line service starting the evening of Friday, August 22, through early morning Monday, August 25.
During this work:
- Most CTrail Hartford Line trains between Hartford, CT, and Springfield, MA will be replaced by buses.
- Most Amtrak Hartford Line trains between New Haven, CT, and Springfield, MA will be replaced by buses.
Here’s what riders need to know:
- Friday, August 22: Amtrak 148 and 136 will be replaced by buses for the entire route.
- Saturday and Sunday, August 23–24: Most CTrail Hartford Line trains between Hartford and Springfield will be replaced by buses.
- Monday, August 25: Amtrak 141 and 125 will be replaced by buses for the entire route.
- Buses will stop at all scheduled stations.
- Bus times at intermediate stations may vary due to highway traffic and other conditions.
This vital infrastructure work will help maintain and improve service reliability along the corridor.
