Enfield Train Station Public Meeting
We are pleased to inform you that the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will present an overview of the proposed Enfield Railroad Station Project on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at Enfield Town Hall. All residents are invited to participate in this information session to hear details of this significant project, seek clarifications, and offer valuable input.
The Enfield Railroad Station Project holds immense significance as an integral part of the Hartford Line Rail Program, with the following objectives:
- Enhanced Connectivity: Establishing crucial rail links connecting Enfield to key destinations such as Hartford, New Haven, and Springfield.
- Sustainable Mobility: Offering a sustainable, safe, and dependable mode of transportation, promoting reduced reliance on personal vehicles.
The NEPA National Environmental Policy Act and Rights-of-Way processes will also be discussed during this meeting.
