New Fares Take Effect September 1
Starting September 1, 2025, CTrail Hartford Line, CTrail Shore Line East, and Metro-North Railroad services in Connecticut will experience a 5% fare increase.
This change resulted from the biennial state budget adopted in June, which created a funding gap for rail services. Instead of reducing the number of trains, the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is adjusting fares to help maintain your current level of service.
